The water filter system seems to be working great! The only reason for the 3 star review is due to the constant delays in getting the water filter itself. I originally ordered it in May knowing it was on backorder but was assured at the time it would be shipped by the end of May. However it kept getting pushed back due to manufacturer errors and other issues with the manufacturer. Did not receive water filter system until early September.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for this filter that was advertised to have 1/4" NPT female fittings. This is the connection we have on an identical filter for a refrigerated water fountain. It is a more secure connection and better for the location. The two that I received have the more standard 1/4" quick disconnect tubing fittings. If 3M (Aqua-Pure) makes this filter with 1/4" NPT fittings, why is it so difficult to find one online? Both have the same IL-IM-01 part number.
Have been using Aqua Pure filters for years. They effectively filter my well water . No rust stains in toilets!
I have used this filter in my house system for 27 years. I have very high iron content in my water and this filter starts white but after60 days it is totally rusty red. I have experimented with the filter changes and due to the high iron every 2 months is best. Its easy to use and has worked very well for us.
This is my second Aqua Pure filter after 20 years. I would not use any other filter system.
I’ve been using the whole house 800 for a couple of decades now and it works great.. Aquapure has been supplying the replacement filters for most of that 20 years. Never an issue. 100% satisfied. Hope I didn’t just jinx it.
This filter has gone up greatly in price over the years, but it still is worth it, as it filters ALL the cold water coming directly from the actual faucet tap (and not a separate smaller tap). The flow takes a small hit, but not too much - and it does not affect the hot water pressure. Still, we use it on a sink on smaller kitchen sink rather than the main sink we do dishes in. Still, the flow is perfectly fine even for filling up pots, etc.. coffee carafes, etc., to cook with filtered water.
Water tastes much better, and I am happy to know that a lot of nasty stuff is filtered out.
This filter is a great compromise between using a filter that comes out of a dedicated small faucet (which is only useful for drinking water), and a whole house filter (which we don't need)

My AquaPure filter is tried and tested for almost 24 years. This was the original from when our house was built, and I switch it out every 6 months, but when I have missed that timing for a few months even, there is no drop in performance. It does really well for filtering our well water, and our water is top qualitywith the help of this filter.
High quality filter - seems to be as good as the original AquaPure AP-217 but at a much better price point. Change these every 6 months and you will have cleaner, better drinking water. We put this filter on our kitchen sink faucet and going forward, plan to stop drinking very many bottled waters (microplastic fears)
