Description
The 3M™ SGP165BN-T water filtration system is a single cartridge system designed to produce consistent, high quality water for use with espresso and espresso-based drinks.
Part of the ScaleGard Pro Series of products, the SGP165BN-T is designed to reduce hardness from water to help reduce scale, but also feature built-in nonadjustable blend mechanisms to allow some hardness to remain in the product water, deemed important for flavor of the espresso.
With a flow rate up to 1.0 gpm and the incorporation of high capacity, weak acid ion-exchange resin to reduce hard water calcium and magnesium, the SGP165BN-T prevents hard scale formation on heating coils and boilers preventing energy inefficiency, downtime and expensive service calls.
The filter's premium activated carbon media also reduces both total dissolved solids (TDS) and alkalinity from inlet water, reducing chlorine taste and odor, and bitterness associated with poor water quality.
The SGP165BN-T ships with a P165BN espresso cartridge for immediate use.
